- Brush your hair at least 3x a day (first thing in the morning, during the day, and before bed) to avoid tangles and/or matting. It is important to keep your hair thoroughly brushed out daily. You must only use a detangling brush. We recommend a Wet Brush.
- Always use a detangling brush when your hair is drenched in water (while shampooing or conditioning) or dry.
- Always fully detangle your hair while dry prior to shampooing/conditioning.
- NEVER brush your extensions when it is damp or while blowdrying damp hair. Instead, use your fingers to shake and spread your hair as you blow dry. Alternatively, you can let your hair extensions air dry until 90% before using a blow dryer, or let them air dry completely.
- Nnor Hair extensions should always be installed by a licensed and/or extension certified hair stylist. All self installations are done at your own risk. Nnor Hair makes no promises to your results and experience.
- Limit washing to once every 1-2 weeks, and use only the K18 Damage Shield Productive Shampoo and Conditioner for protecting the health of your strands. Alternate this with the Paul Mitchell Original Awapuhi Shampoo and Conditioner to give your hair a balance between bonding and moisture treatment.
- We also recommend the Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Tasking Leave In Spray and the K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask he K18 to keep the hair soft, easy to comb through, and strong.
- Discolored hair is usually from mineral deposits. A light green tone is caused by chlorine. Peach hair is caused by iron deposits, makeup, and sunscreen. Use the LOREAL Metal Detox Shampoo to remove excess minerals and tone your extensions.
- Condition only the mids to ends of your hair (same for all other products you apply).
- Avoid excessive sweat. Sweat is salty, acidic and can dry out your hair extensions, leading to additional matting and tangling. Keep your hair in a bun while at the gym.
- Always apply a heat protectant before heat styling. Alternatively, opt for heatless curlers like flexi rods to minimize your use of heat.
- Focus on styling processes that will help the cuticle of your hair stay down. For example, only straighten your hair the night before bed and wear a satin scarf to help your strands cool and rest. This will minimize frizz and friction.
- We recommend the Redken Triple Dry 15 Texture Finishing Spray for removing excess oil and match your hair with the extensions.
- Sleep with a satin pillowcase or a satin scarf.
- Avoid swimming with your hair extensions.
- Never sleep with wet or damp hair.
